Firefighters knocked down a house fire at a home in Reseda Tuesday, where at least one dog was found dead inside, authorities said.

Crews responded to the 7100 block of Wilbur Avenue at around 8:20 a.m. and the blaze was extinguished by 9:17 a.m., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

Several city utility and safety agencies were in route to the scene, according to Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.

“Firefighters continue to ensure all hot spots are found and cooled, and will be on scene for an extended overhaul due to the dwelling’s construction and storage conditions,” Lantz said.

It was unclear where the dog was found inside the home or if any other pets were affected.
