A 23-year-old motorcyclist suffered non-life-threatening injuries in a collision with an SUV in Cathedral City Tuesday.
Officers responded to the intersection of Ramon Road and Avenida Los Ninos around 5:30 p.m. regarding a collision involving a Honda SUV and a motorcycle traveling westbound on Ramon Road, according to the Cathedral City Police Department.
The motorcyclist, identified as Desert Hot Springs resident Marco Torres, was taken to a hospital for treatment of moderate injuries.
Police stated that the SUV driver cooperated during the investigation and remained at the scene.
The motorist did not sustain any injuries. Detectives determine drugs or alcohol were not factors leading to the collision.
The intersection was shut down for approximately two hours as police investigated the collision.
