A call of a suspicious item at a business in Lake Forest Thursday morning led to an evacuation, but bomb squad officials cleared the area as safe.
Orange County sheriff’s deputies were called about 8:30 a.m. to a shopping area near Raymond Way and El Toro Road, where someone reported a suspicious item in drywall, sheriff’s deputies reported.
Bomb squad investigators were unable to find anything suspicious and a person was detained on suspicion of falsely reporting an emergency.
