A 31-year-old Anaheim man was killed and one man remained hospitalized with a non-life-threatening wound from a stabbing Saturday outside a popular Santa Monica bar.

The stabbing occurred about 1:50 a.m. Saturday outside The Bungalow — located within the Fairmont Miramar Hotel — 101 Wilshire Blvd., at Ocean Avenue, Santa Monica Police Department Lt. Lewis Gilmour told City News Service.

“At this time, detectives believe this was an isolated incident and not a random act of violence,” Gilmour said. “There is no indication of an ongoing threat to the public.”

Detectives were pursuing all available leads but no arrests were immediately made, he said. The investigators were reviewing surveillance video and talking to witnesses.

The Santa Monica Police Department asked anyone with information to contact Detective Lucero at hilda.lucero@santamonica.gov, Sgt. Cooney at shaun.cooney@santamonica.gov or the watch commander 24 hours at 310-458-8427.
