A vehicle with non-valid license plates was stopped in Hermosa Beach, and led to the arrests of two occupants on other charges.

The Hermosa Beach Police Department reported that the driver was wanted on felony warrants and a female passenger was wanted for child endangerment, possessing a gun and narcotics. They were both taken into custody.

The female occupant of the car and her 2-month-old daughter were detained outside while the car was searched.

Bodycam video shows the sergeant going through a diaper bag to find an allegedly loaded firearm, and a small plastic bag that authorities believe was narcotics.

Denying the possession of narcotics, the woman is heard saying, “I didn’t know that I wasn’t supposed to have a gun.”

To which the officer is heard replying, “It’s a loaded firearm. All it takes is one click, like if she grabbed that or something?”

The 2-month-old child was taken to the Department of Children Services, according to the HBPD.
