A hit-and-run traffic collision in Pacoima that left a man in his 60s in critical condition was being investigated, authorities said Wednesday.

The collision happened around 11:05 p.m. on Jan. 12, when a white pick-up traveling northbound Laurel Canyon Boulevard from Terra Bella Street struck a pedestrian near the crosswalk, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.

The driver of the white truck continued northbound Laurel Canyon Boulevard, driving away from the scene.

The Los Angeles Fire Department paramedics responded to the patient and transported him to a hospital in critical condition, police said. His name was being withheld pending notification to next of kin.

A video of the incident was uploaded to LAPD’s YouTube channel.

A reward of up to $25,000 was available to community members that provide information leading to the offender’s identification, according to LAPD.
