A pedestrian who was fatally struck by a Union Pacific train in Boyle Heights was identified Tuesday by county authorities.
The collision occurred around 2 p.m. Sunday at 3200 East Union Pacific Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Jay Coller, 36, of West Hollywood, was pronounced dead at the scene, the county Medical Examiner’s office said.
All rail operations in the vicinity were temporarily shut down due to the collision.
