Sheriff’s homicide detectives Tuesday are continuing their investigation of a woman who was shot to death in South Los Angeles.
Deputies responded to the 1200 block of West 87th Street and Budlong Avenue at 9:46 p.m. Monday, where they found the victim with a gunshot wound, the sheriff’s department reported.
Los Angeles County Fire Department paramedics took the victim to a hospital, where she was pronounced dead, sheriff’s officials said.
A suspect was seeing running away from the scene, the LASD reported.
A second victim — a man — was shot in the foot and is being treated for non-life threatening injuries.
ABC 7 reported the female victim was shot near the same location as Marvin Mitchell, 41, who was fatally shot on Sunday.
