A deputy suffered a gunshot wound Friday when his gun discharged while he prepared for his shift.
The shooting occurred about 6:45 a.m. Friday at the Crescenta Valley Sheriff’s Station at 4554 Briggs Ave., Sgt. John Gilbert told City News Service.
The deputy was injured in the discharge and taken by ambulance to a hospital, where he had stable vital signs, Gilbert said.
“The incident is under active investigation, but preliminary information suggests it may have been an unintentional discharge,” he said.
