It took a team of 33 firefighters 14 minutes to put out a fire inside a 2,000-square-foot commercial building in the Florence area of South Los Angeles Friday.
The fire was reported at 7:48 a.m. at 708 E. 79th St., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Lyndsey Lantz.
The first firefighters arriving at the scene saw moderate smoke coming out of the single-story building, Lantz said.
The firefighters attacked the flames from inside and on the roof, she said.
Firefighters succeeded at protecting a nearby structure, Lantz said. No injuries were reported.

I passed thru there it was down the street from McKinley elem. I’m glad they put it out and no one hurt.
