One unit of a North Hollywood duplex was damaged by fire Friday.
The fire was reported at 8:31 a.m. Friday at 11561 W. Sylvan St., according to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lndsey Lantz.
Heavy flames were seen in the unit, Lantz said.
The first arriving companies battled the fire from the roof and inside and had flames out in 17 minutes, she said.
All occupants got out of the duplex and were not injured, Lantz said.
