A 57-year-old Los Angeles man was arrested after allegedly stabbing a woman in her left arm in Culver City, authorities said Saturday.
The stabbing occurred about 1:30 a.m. Friday in the 6000 block of Slauson Avenue, according to a Culver City Police Department statement. The Westfield Culver City mall is located at 6000 Slauson Avenue.
The suspect, who ran from the scene, is believed to have been in a relationship with the victim, police said.
Culver City police officers arrived at the scene and ensured the victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital for treatment of injuries that were not believed life-threatening, police said.
A description of the victim was not provided.
Officers tracked down the suspect in downtown the Los Angeles area and was arrested him for suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon and possession of narcotics, police said.
The case will be presented to the District Attorney’s office for filing consideration, police said.
