A 35-year-old man killed in a drive-by shooting in downtown Los Angeles was identified Monday.
The shooting occurred at 7:52 p.m. Sunday in the 700 block of Stanford Avenue, between San Pedro Street and Central Avenue, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department Operations Center.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, the officer said.
The Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner identified him Monday as Curtis Smith.
The suspect was only described as a male.
A news videographer at the scene said the victim was on the sidewalk next to a Volkswagen SUV.
