A homeowner was being evaluated for minor injuries Wednesday following a fire at a residence in Chatsworth.
Smoke was reported emerging from one unit in a row of two-story townhomes in the 10100 block of North Larwin Avenue near Chatsworth Park at about 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Officials said the flames appeared to have started as an auto fire, which extended into the garage of the residence. In about 38 minutes, firefighters were able to knock down the flames, containing the fire from spreading further.
