Police Monday sought the public’s help in tracking down whoever struck a pedestrian in San Pedro and left the scene.
Detectives with the Los Angeles Police Department’s South Traffic Division said a gray four-door sedan, possibly a Toyota Camry, struck the victim around 6:30 p.m. on March 1 at the intersection of Western Avenue and First Street.
The sedan continued south on Western and was last seen passing Weymouth Avenue.
Firefighters took the victim to a hospital, where the San Pedro resident was reported to be “fighting for his life,” according to the LAPD.
