Two suspects are in custody Tuesday after leading police on a high-speed chase that ended in South Los Angeles and traversed multiple freeways in two allegedly stolen vehicles.

The pursuit began just after 10:30 p.m. Monday when Los Angeles Police Department officers say three suspects stole a blue and white Kia and drove away, only to abandon that car and steal a dark-colored Kia. They sped onto the Santa Monica (10) Freeway toward Boyle Heights, ABC 7 reported.

The suspects left the freeway and drove onto the Hollywood (101) Freeway and the Santa Ana (5) Freeway, heading south and leaving both freeway several times before taking the 10 Freeway again after they evaded a PIT maneuver by the California Highway Patrol, ABC7 reported.

The suspects abandoned the stolen SUV near Kansas Avenue and West 50th Street in South Los Angeles and ran into a nearby neighborhood. LAPD captured two of the suspects shortly afterwards and it was not immediately known is the third suspect remains on the loose.
