A person perished in a car fire in Shadow Hills Wednesday, authorities said.
The auto fire was reported just after 9 a.m. Wednesday, with one unconscious person trapped inside in the 10200 block of West Lanark Street, by the Golden State (5) Freeway, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
Footage from the scene showed the vehicle appeared to have struck a tree.
Details regarding the victim, and the events that led to the car fire were not immediately available.
