Fire Saturday damaged a one-story accessory dwelling unit behind a home in Boyle Heights, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 8:43 a.m. Saturday to 642 N. Cummings St. had the fire out within 24 minutes of their arrival, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.
The fire started in the crawl space of the ADU and extended through the wall, up to the attic.
All occupants were safely out of the structure prior to the arrival of firefighters.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
