Crews knocked down a fire in a two-story center-hall building in the Pico-Union neighborhood Sunday.

The fire was reported around 5:10 p.m. Sunday, in one unit on the second floor of the building with residences over commercial structures, in the 1600 block of West 11th Street, near Beacon Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.

30 firefighters were able to extinguish the flames in about 15 minutes, containing it from further spread.

No injuries were reported.
