A 4-year-old boy was killed and two others were injured after being trapped inside a vehicle in a crash in Leimert Park, police said Wednesday.
Los Angeles Fire Department firefighters responded to a report of a crash at 3648 S. Crenshaw Blvd. between Obama and Exposition boulevards around 11 p.m. Tuesday. When they arrived at the scene, firefighters found that the victims were trapped in the vehicle, Los Angeles Police Department Officer Charles Miller told City News Service.
The victims were freed from the vehicle and LAFD paramedics took them to Cedars-Sinai Hospital, where the 4-year old child was pronounced dead, Miller said. The two adult victims were listed in unknown conditions.
Police said the driver ran away from the scene after the crash.
The cause of the collision is under investigation.
