A person was shot and killed Wednesday in an unincorporated area bordering South Los Angeles.
Homicide detectives responded to the 10500 block of South Budlong Avenue, near Vermont Avenue, in Westmont to investigate a shooting around 3:50 p.m. that hospitalized a victim, who later died, according to the Sheriff’s Information Bureau.
It was unclear what motivated the shooting, and there was no description of a suspect.
