An approximately 40-year-old man suffered critical burns Thursday in an explosion possibly ignited by fireworks at a home in Pacoima, where three dogs were found.
Firefighters were dispatched about 9 a.m. to 13556 W. Remington St., where they reported a partial collapse of the structure, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Firefighters on scene are in offensive mode and looking for further victims,” said Lyndsey Lantz of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
It was unclear if any of the dogs were hurt.
