A Silver Alert is in effect Friday for a 85-year-old Orange County man who was last seen in Garden Grove.
Joseph Kim was reported missing at 2 p.m. Thursday near West Chapman Avenue and South Harbor Boulevard, said the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Garden Grove Police Department.
Kim is Asian, is 5 feet, 5 inches tall, weighs 165 pounds, has gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a black shirt, a black vest and brown pants.
Authorities say Kim believed to be driving a white 2019 Nissan Sentra with a California license plate 8MVD618.
Anyone who sees Kim is asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
