Authorities Sunday were searching for a 53-year-old man missing in Irvine, who is believed to be armed.
Jianhua ShangGuan left his home at 5 a.m. Saturday in a silver Toyota RAV4, according to the Irvine Police Department.
Initial reports determined his phone and wallet were left at home, but one of his handguns was missing.
Police said ShangGuan is not known to be a threat to community, but has had no contact with any family or friends.
