Westminster police Thursday recovered a stolen Bengal Lynx cat in Santa Ana.

The pet was recovered after police asked for the public’s help tracking down the feline after an abduction on Wednesday. The cat, named Clubber, was unharmed and reunited with its owner, but the suspect remained at large.

The cat was reported stolen March 19, police said. Clubber’s owner said she discovered her pet missing Friday morning and recovered the cat’s AirTag, attached to the feline’s collar, near her driveway in the 10000 block of Finchley Avenue.

When the owner reviewed home surveillance video, she saw the suspect lure Clubber — possibly with food — and snatch the cat before fleeing in a white pickup truck, possibly a Toyota Tacoma.

The suspect was described as a man about 40 to 50 years old and about 6 feet tall, with a medium build. He was wearing a long-sleeved orange shirt, black jeans and a white hat.

Anyone with information was asked to call police at 714-898-3315. Orange County Crime Stoppers will accept anonymous tips at 855-TIP-OCCS.
