Firefighters quickly knocked down a fire Friday in the Manchester Square area.
Fire crews were called at 2 a.m. to 8020 S. Halldale Ave. and West 81st Street where they extinguished the flames, said Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Margaret Stewart.
One man was evaluated and treated by paramedics for possible smoke inhalation, Stewart said.
It took 28 firefighters 19 minutes to control and extinguish the flames.
