A man in his 20s was hospitalized Saturday in stable condition after a shooting in the Shadow Hills neighborhood of Sunland in what police believe was a gang-related confrontation.
Los Angeles Police Department’s Foothill Division were called at approximately 10:50 p.m. Friday to Helen Avenue and Penrose Street regarding a shooting. When they arrived at the scene, they leaned the learned the victim was sitting inside a black BMW at a residence when the shooters fired at him several times before fleeing in a Honda minivan, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.
The victim suffered multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to Holy Cross Medical Center by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel in stable condition. Police said the victim did not cooperate with the officers.
