A 39-year-old man who was fatally shot in El Sereno, in what police believe to be a gang-related homicide, was identified Wednesday.

Officers from the Los Angeles Police Department responded to calls regarding a shooting in the 2100 block of East Valley Boulevard and North Soto Street, east of Lincoln Park, at 1:54 a.m. Saturday. When they arrived, officers learned the suspects approached the victim’s RV and began arguing with him, an LAPD spokeswoman told City News Service.

The victim was found lying in the street suffering from gunshot wounds. Los Angeles Fire Department personnel were called to the scene, where they pronounced him dead.

He was identified Wednesday by the Los Angeles County Office of Medical Examiner as Ricardo Camberos.

According to police, witnesses said they saw four men running away from the scene.
