A 74-year-old man was killed Monday when he was struck by a vehicle in a Beverly Grove intersection.
The crash occurred at 1:08 a.m. Monday at La Cienega and San Vicente boulevards, according to a desk officer at the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center. That is near the Beverly Center.
The vehicle was northbound on La Cienega Boulevard when it struck the man who was in the street at San Vicente Boulevard, the officer said.
The mortally injured man was rushed to a hospital by ambulance where he was pronounced dead, said the officer.
The driver of the vehicle remained at the scene, he said.
