Authorities Monday released the name of a pedestrian who was struck and killed by a vehicle in an apparent hit-and-run collision in Pomona.
Officers responded around 3:10 a.m. Sunday to the area of Philadelphia and Palomares streets, where they found 26-year-old Jose Cervantes Garcia, an unhoused man, in the roadway with severe injuries, according to the Pomona Police Department.
He was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics.
