A teenage boy has been booked on suspicion of a fatal stabbing of a man at a Mission Viejo apartment complex, sheriff’s investigators said Thursday.

The suspect, whose name and age were not immediately released, was booked into Juvenile Hall on suspicion of killing 21-year-old Cristopher Bahenabaylon on Wednesday.

The victim’s sister called deputies about 2 p.m. that day when she found her brother bleeding on a couch in their apartment, Orange County sheriff’s Sgt. Gerard McCann said. The victim was stabbed in the chest, McCann said.

The relationship between the two was unclear beyond the pair living in the same apartment complex in the 27000 block of Camden, McCann said.
