A woman in her 50s was critically wounded and two boys, believed to be 16 years, were wounded in a shooting in the University Park area of Los Angeles, authorities said Tuesday.
The suspects were described as two males between the ages of 15 and 18, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers responded near Vermont Avenue and Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard shortly after 4:05 p.m. Monday to reports of shots fired.
According to Los Angeles Fire Department spokeswoman Lyndsey Lantz, paramedics were initially dispatched for three victims. The third victim was presumed to have declined medical assistance, Lantz said.
It was unclear what motivated the shooting.
