A Silver Alert is in effect Thursday in Los Angeles, Orange and San Bernardino counties for an 82-year-old man last seen in Rialto.
Earnest Lee George was last seen at around 4 p.m. on April 7 near North Apple Avenue and Ayala Drive, according to the California Highway Patrol which issued the Silver Alert Wednesday on behalf of the Rialto Police Department.
George was described as a 5-feet-4-inch tall man weighing 130 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing an orange sweatshirt and blue jeans.
Authorities believe he is on foot. Anyone with information regarding his whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
