A Silver Alert was issued Friday for an 84-year-old man last seen in Huntington Beach.
Parviz Alai was last seen Friday near Thomas Circle and Taylor Drive at approximately 1:30 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Huntington Beach Police Department.
Alai was described as a 5-foot-6-inch tall man weighing 145 pounds with gray hair and brown eyes. He was last seen wearing a red plaid shirt, black pants, shoes, and glasses.
CHP officials believe Alai is traveling in a white 2010 Toyota Tacoma with California license plate 8Z14907.
Anyone with information regarding Alai’s whereabouts was urged to call 911.
The Silver Alert is in effect in Orange and Los Angeles counties.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
