At least five people were injured Sunday in a two-vehicle collision in the Wilmington neighborhood of Los Angeles.

The crash happened just before 8 p.m. Sunday near the intersection of North Wilmington Boulevard and West Opp Street, KTLA5 reported, citing the Los Angeles Fire Department.

One of the cars was seen sustaining heavy damage to its hood after crashing into a power pole and the other car was tossed to the center of the intersection, according to the report.

The identities of the victims were unconfirmed and the nature of their injuries was not disclosed.

The cause of the accident was not immediately known.
