Police Monday continued their investigation of the fatal shooting of a 20-year-old man who was found dead inside a residence in Pomona.
Pomona Police Department officers responded to a shots fired call at a motel in the 900 block of East Holt Avenue and North Reservoir Street at 4:38 a.m. Friday. When they arrived, the officers found the victim, identified by the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s as Maximo Sanchez, suffering from gunshot wounds.
Los Angeles County Fire Department personnel were called to the scene and pronounced the victim dead, according to a police department release.
Sanchez’s cause of death was listed as a gunshot to the back, according to the medical examiner’s office.
There was no suspect information available.
