Two people were taken to a hospital in critical condition after being shot at Spartan College of Aeronautics and Technology in Inglewood Friday.
The shooting occurred Friday afternoon in the 8900 block of Aviation Boulevard, between Arbor Vitae Street and Hillcrest Boulevard, according to the Los Angeles County Fire Department.
It was unclear what motivated the shooting, as multiple law enforcement agencies arrived at the scene to establish a perimeter to conduct separate investigations.
According to Inglewood Mayor James T. Butts, initial reports indicated that the suspect was armed with a rifle.
Butts confirmed that a 9mm shell casing was found at the scene and noted that DNA or fingerprint evidence may be present on it.
There was no distinct description of the suspect, although Butts described the person of interest as a man possibly wearing security guard attire.
