A Silver Alert is in effect Saturday for a missing 88-year-old woman who was last seen in North Hollywood.
Concepcion Moreno was last seen at approximately 3 p.m. Friday near Tiara Street and Tujunga Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Los Angeles Police Department.
Moreno is Latina, 5 feet 2 inches tall, weighs 110 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a red shirt, red pants and black shoes. Authorities said Moreno is believed to be traveling on foot.
Anyone who sees Moreno or knows of her whereabouts was asked to call 911.
The Silver Alert program was established by the CHP to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
