A sprinkler system was able to quell a small fire Sunday on the 14th floor of a 22-story high rise in Hollywood, authorities said.
Firefighters dispatched at 10:52 a.m. Sunday to 1522 N. Gordon St., north of Sunset Boulevard, found nothing upon their arrival, according to the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“Firefighters made entry and determined there was a sprinkler activation on the 14th floor. Upon arriving on the fire floor, crews located a `fire out,”’ the LAFD’s Margaret Stewart said.
No injuries were reported.
Firefighters remained on the scene to conduct salvage operations and conduct water removal.
