One person is dead after driving and crashing into a barbed-wire fence in Palmdale, the California Highway Patrol reported Tuesday.
CHP officers responded at 10:09 p.m. Monday to 50th Street East and East Avenue P after receiving a call from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department regarding a vehicle that was driven into a ditch, where it then crashed into the fence, CHP Officer Sergio Garcia told City News Service.
The victim — whose name, age and gender were not immediately known — was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to reports from the scene, two other victims were injured and taken to a hospital in critical condition.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
