Police Wednesday are continuing their investigation of two shootings at different locations that occurred within the same block in Montebello, where at least one person was taken to a hospital.
Montebello Police Department officers say the first shooting was reported around 7:20 p.m. Tuesday on the 800 block of Mines Avenue and South Montebello Boulevard. Officers found two people shot in an apartment unit, NBC 4 reported.
One person from the scene was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.
Less than a block from the first shooting, police found a pickup with a bullet hole in one of its the windows, according to NBC 4.
One man who lives close to the first location told NBC 4 he heard “a scream and then three or four” shots before police arrived.
It was not immediately known is the shootings were by the same shooter or if the first shooting was connected to the truck shooting.
