An assailant who stabbed a 50-year-old man in West Los Angeles was on the loose Wednesday, the Los Angeles Police Department reported.
Officers from the department’s West Los Angeles Division went to the intersection of Santa Monica Boulevard and Amherst Avenue at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday on a report of a stabbing found the victim with stab wounds to his neck, LAPD Officer David Cuellar told City News Service.
The victim, whose name and condition were not released, was taken to a hospital by Los Angeles Fire Department personnel.
Witnesses told the officers that a man dressed in all black clothing approached the victim and stabbed him multiple times.
A man was questioned near the scene but was later released, Cuellar said.
