A 78-year-old woman diagnosed with dementia and diabetes who had been last seen near the Echo Park, prompting the issuance of a Silver Alert, was found Thursday.
Elidia Espinoza had been last seen around 8 a.m. Monday in the 1500 block of Lake Shore Avenue, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
She was located Thursday at about 12:30 p.m. and returned safely to her family, police said.
The Silver Alert program was established by the California Highway Patrol to issue and coordinate alerts involving the unexplained or suspicious disappearances of elderly, developmentally disabled or cognitively impaired individuals.
