An Ebony Alert was deactivated Saturday after a 22-year-old woman who was reported missing after last being seen in Hemet was found.
Akyssa Thomas was last seen at approximately 6 p.m. Tuesday near Orange Blossom Lane and South Meridian Street, according to the California Highway Patrol, which issued the alert on behalf of the Riverside County Sheriff’s Office.
The CHP reported Thomas was found at 12:40 a.m. Saturday.
Ebony Alerts are issued to help find Black children, teenagers and young adults — 12 to 25 years old — who are reported missing under unexplained or suspicious circumstances or those who are at-risk, developmentally disabled, cognitively impaired or who have been abducted.
