A man fell from a platform Saturday at Metro’s Bunker Hill Station in downtown Los Angeles and lost consciousness.
The fall was reported at 1:42 p.m. Saturday at 235 S. Hope St., according to the Los Angeles Fire Department’s Lyndsey Lantz.
“First responders ensured tracks were de-energized, lifted the patient from the tracks and treated him on scene,” Lantz said. “Patient (is) now alert and oriented.”
Metro’s Rail Operations Control reported the man fell from the platform. A description of the man was unavailable, and it was unclear how he fell.
Metro issued a statement saying the person fell onto the tracks but was uninjured after being assisted by the LAFD.
“We thank the LAFD for their rapid response and remind all passengers to stay alert, stay behind the yellow lines and use caution while near rail lines,” the agency stated.
