A boy was killed and another suffered a non-life-threatening injury during a shooting in Wildomar, the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department announced Saturday.
Deputies responded to the 21000 block of Waite Street around 10:30 p.m. Friday to a report of an assault with a deadly weapon.
Upon arrival, they found a teenage boy suffering from gunshot wounds and performed life-saving measures before rushing him to a hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.
Another adolescent male was also found at the scene suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound and he was taken to a hospital, authorities said.
The sheriff’s Central Homicide Unit assumed the investigation, but no arrests were immediately reported.
