One suspect was in custody Wednesday after a security guard of a Westwood home opened fire when four intruders tried to break in early morning.
Officers responded to a burglary report around 5 a.m. Wednesday in the 10400 block of Lindbrook Drive by UCLA, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Occupants of the home told police four men entered the residence in a burglary attempt.
As one of the suspects tried to drive away, the security guard fired a round at him, police said.
There were no immediate reports of injuries but the suspect was taken into custody.
Three suspects were outstanding.
