A pedestrian walking on the Santa Ana (5) Freeway was struck and killed by a vehicle near Anaheim, the California Highway Patrol reported Thursday.
CHP officers responded at 2:33 a.m. Thursday to the southbound freeway and Gene Autry Way where they found the pedestrian near the right lane of the freeway, authorities said.
The victim, whose name, age and gender were not immediately known, was pronounced dead at the scene.
