A man suspected of stabbing and injuring a person in North Hollywood was shot and wounded Friday by Los Angeles police officers.
Officers responded around 12:54 p.m. to the 7800 block of Beck Avenue following reports of an assault with a deadly weapon, according to the Los Angeles Police Department.
Officers found a victim suffering from multiple stab wounds, police said. The person was taken to a hospital, but the extent of the injuries was not immediately disclosed.
Police said the officers “made contact with the suspect,” which led to a police shooting. Details surrounding the shooting were still under investigation Friday afternoon.
No officers were injured.
