A body was found Sunday in Lancaster and several individuals were detained in connection with the death.
A missing person call was reported around 1:50 a.m. Sunday in the 44000 block of Beech Avenue, just west of Sierra Highway, according to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department.
Responding deputies investigated a large truck leaving the location, Lt. Steve Dejong said. An open trash bin in the back of the truck contained the body of the deceased person.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and several individuals were detained for investigation, according to Dejong. The precise number of individuals held for questioning was not made clear.
